Overview

We are seeking a suitable individual to manage QA processes in a software development environment. We are NOT seeking a QA test engineer to do the actual software testing. Nevertheless, prior experience in software testing will be a distinct advantage.

Job Description

Software Development Process Implementation

• Review and update the existing documents of software development process.

• Finalize QA process for software development (ie in-house & outsourced projects).

• Implement the established QA process among the software development team.

• Communicate with headquarters QA Department to determine a process of global software quality assurance.

Software Development Process Audit

• Audit the software development process and encourage adherence to it.

• Communicate with headquarters QA department to assure the software product quality developed inhouse and outsourced.

Software Quality Assurance

1. Manage the software develop QA activities.

2. Assure the developed software quality:

• review a test plan.

• review a test case.

• review the test results.

• analyze software bugs/quality and consider a countermeasure.

• review the documents including the software manual.

• create a report to summarize QA results and assure the software quality.

Others

1. Prepare, review and submit the response for Vendor Assessment requests received from clients.

2. Liaise with headquarters to obtain the necessary information and documents.

3. Participate in vendor audits to provide response to client queries (online and onsite).

Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in science, computer science and engineering.

2. At least five years of experience working in QA department in different QA roles.

3. Work experience in software development environment will be a distinct advantage.

4. Knowledge and implementation experience of ISO 9001, ISO 13485 guidelines in any kind of organization.

5. Knowledge of QA process in Agile and Waterfall development styles will be an advantage.

6. Good knowledge of software systems in regulated industries such as Pharmaceuticals, Medical, etc will be desirable.

7. In-depth knowledge of quality management system (QMS) procedures.

8. Outstanding problem-solving, decision-making skills and able to work independently.

9. Strong analytical and organizational skills.

10. Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written) with clients, internal and external stakeholders including Japanese.

11. Knowledge of Good Documentation Practices and related experience.

12. Knowledge (at least conversant) of Japanese language will be a distinct advantage.

Regional Service Engineer

Job Description

• Responsible for installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing of MALDI and TOF systems.

• Manage technical service matters including but limited to warranty claims from customers.

• Provide technical solutions and expertise to support regional partners' engineers via both onsite and remote modes.

• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in electronic and electrical engineering or equivalent.

• At least one year of experience in regional technical support role.

• Must be able travel in the Asia Pacific region.

• Must have ownership, self-initiative & pro-active attitude towards work.

• Possess logical thinking skills which are essential for technical troubleshooting.

• Good communication and presentation skills.

• Good co-ordination skills with both internal and external parties.

• Familiarity with remote technical support is desirable.

• Prior experience with Mass Spectrometry (MS) or Time of Flight (TOF) will be a distinct advantage.
