Overview

An integrating sphere is used in UV-Vis spectroscopy to perform transmission and reflection measurements that would not be possible with the standard direct transmission configuration. This video explains the principles of our Shimadzu ISR-2600 Plus integrating sphere accessory and demonstrates its operation of four measurement modes: total transmission, diffuse transmission, diffuse reflection, and total reflection.
