Shaping A Better Tomorrow: Highlights From 2025
Pedal-Boat Waterways At Kallang Riverside

In 2025, Shimadzu employees teamed up to clean Kallang Riverside, removing 91 kg of litter and debris. Volunteers worked from pedal boats, using nets to collect waste and clear the waterway of plastic and other pollutants. It was heartening to see the team working together, not just to clean up the environment but also to support one another in the process. The event highlighted how small, everyday actions—like choosing single-use plastics for convenience or improperly disposing of waste—can add up to significant environmental challenges. Water is our precious resource, and this initiative served as a reminder of the role we all play in protecting it.
Blood Donation Drive

Did you know that one unit of blood can save up to three lives? In Singapore, 15 units of blood are needed every hour. To help meet this demand, Shimadzu organized a company-wide blood donation drive. Employees stepped forward as donors and attended sessions that emphasized the importance of regular blood donation. This initiative not only boosted the local blood supply but also strengthened the sense of teamwork and shared responsibility within the organization.
Essential Care Pack Delivery
Shimadzu employees came together to assemble and deliver hundreds of essential care packs to seniors across Singapore. Each pack included food and basic necessities, and volunteers took the time to visit and connect with the recipients. This initiative provided practical support while addressing the everyday challenges faced by older members of the community. It also reflected Singapore’s vision of inclusivity—ensuring no one is left behind.
Reflecting on 2024: Foundations of Our Ongoing Efforts

In 2024, Shimadzu employees came together to remove 20 kg of plastics and marine debris from Kallang Riverside. Armed with gloves and paddling in kayaks, the team worked together to navigate the waterways and collect rubbish. This effort helped improve the condition of the waterway and encouraged ongoing participation in sustainability projects. It demonstrated how small, consistent actions can contribute to meaningful environmental change and reinforced the importance of protecting shared resources.
Blood Donation Drive

In 2024, Shimadzu launched its first blood donation drive to address the growing need for blood products in Singapore. Employees stepped forward as donors, contributing to an initiative that directly supports healthcare needs. Every unit of blood donated has the potential to save lives, and this effort strengthened the local blood supply while fostering a sense of shared responsibility among participants.
Essential Care Pack Delivery

In 2024, 78 Shimadzu employees distributed essential supplies to 783 seniors over two days. Each care pack was thoughtfully prepared with food and basic necessities, and employees took the time to visit and connect with the recipients. This initiative provided practical support to seniors while also fostering a sense of connection and community. It also reflected Shimadzu’s commitment to supporting vulnerable populations and addressing the challenges faced by older members of society.
